How It Works

The Knew York Times Best Sellers list is a competitive, bid-based ranking platform. Here's how to get your book featured.

1. Add Your Book

Create an account and add your book with its cover image, description, genre(s), and purchase link. Each book can be listed in multiple genres.

2. Place a Bid

Choose a genre and place a bid (minimum $5.00). You are charged immediately. Bids are accepted through Sunday at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

3. Rankings Are Calculated

Every Monday, the top 15 highest bids in each genre earn a spot on The Knew York Times Best Sellers list. The 15 highest bids site-wide also appear on the Overall list.

4. Losing Bids Are Refunded

If your bid doesn't make the top 15, you receive a full refund. You only pay if your book is featured.

Books that maintain their spot across multiple weeks display a "weeks on list" counter, just like the real thing.

Can I bid in multiple genres?

Yes! Each book can be assigned to multiple genres, and you can place separate bids for each genre. Each bid is independent.

Can I see other bids?

No. Bidding is blind. You cannot see what others have bid. This keeps the process fair.

When are refunds processed?

Refunds for non-winning bids are processed every Monday after rankings are calculated. Refunds typically appear in your account within 5-10 business days.

Can I cancel a bid?

Yes, you can cancel any pending bid before Monday rankings are calculated. Cancelled bids receive an immediate refund.

What's the minimum bid?

The minimum bid is $5.00 per genre per week. There is no maximum.
